An Awkward Encounter: A Day at the Bus Depot That Left Me Speechless

An Awkward Encounter at the Bus Depot:- Today was one of those days when life decided to throw an unexpected situation my way. After finishing my lectures, I headed to the market to buy some vegetables. Feeling accomplished, I made my way to the bus depot, intending to catch my usual city bus home. But what awaited me there was nothing short of awkward and peculiar. As I stood waiting, a young man, possibly in his early twenties, approached me. At first, his questions seemed ordinary—he wanted to know about the Ahmedabad bus. I told him I didn’t know and pointed him to the inquiry window. To my surprise, he confessed he couldn’t see the sign and went on to criticise how foolishly “literate people” hadn’t printed “Ahmedabad” on the board. From there, his questions only grew stranger. “Do you have a bus pass?” he asked. I explained that my city bus didn’t offer such a facility. Then came the unexpected: “Where are you going?” I naively shared my destination, only for him to reply, “Take ...

Glimpses of a Tree’s Mind: A Poem on Nature and Preservation

Image
I have always loved trees, and I believe everyone feels a connection to their beauty and importance. My professor, who adores living in places surrounded by nature, often shares how trees bring peace and balance to life. Inspired by this, I decided to write a poem when I witnessed the heartbreaking sight of trees being cut down alongside the road to make it wider. It made me realise a profound truth—if we can’t contribute to growing trees, we have no right to destroy them. Through my poem, I hope to shed light on the vital role trees play and encourage everyone to protect them for a better future. Glimpses of Tree's Mind It was a time when I was valued, In life, death, and religion, I was a giver every moment, In medicine, shade, fruits, and flowers. Everything has two sides, Virtues and vices. But I have only one – The side of goodness, unending. Oh, God, bless me still! I can give life on this earth, Yet they don’t want me to live. Grant them some wisdom, I pray. Why do you under...

Embracing Natural Beauty: A Poem on the Dangers of Plastic Perfection

A poem on plastic :- I never imagined that I would create a poem titled "Plastic." But today, a thought popped into my mind, and I saw an unexpected similarity between plastic and people in the modern world. The world is changing rapidly, and along with it, people are transforming too. Beauty standards are shifting day by day, and in the process, many are forgetting the natural faces and bodies they were beautifully gifted by God. In a society where materialism often dictates value, it's hard to know who we can truly trust.  I sometimes imagine a future where, instead of a water bottle, an aspiring groom reaches for a makeup remover during his meeting with a bride-to-be—just to check if she’s the real deal! It sounds funny, but trust me, it might just help you in the future if you’re reading this post. But, as we all know, the world is evolving, and these makeups are now waterproof!  here's the poem below 👇  Plastic A problem big, across the globe, It harms the earth...
