Embracing Natural Beauty: A Poem on the Dangers of Plastic Perfection
A poem on plastic :-
I never imagined that I would create a poem titled "Plastic." But today, a thought popped into my mind, and I saw an unexpected similarity between plastic and people in the modern world. The world is changing rapidly, and along with it, people are transforming too. Beauty standards are shifting day by day, and in the process, many are forgetting the natural faces and bodies they were beautifully gifted by God. In a society where materialism often dictates value, it's hard to know who we can truly trust.
I sometimes imagine a future where, instead of a water bottle, an aspiring groom reaches for a makeup remover during his meeting with a bride-to-be—just to check if she’s the real deal! It sounds funny, but trust me, it might just help you in the future if you’re reading this post. But, as we all know, the world is evolving, and these makeups are now waterproof! here's the poem below 👇
Plastic
A problem big, across the globe,
It harms the earth, a heavy load.
Makeup hides the face we own,
Surgeries make us feel unknown.
Fake smiles, fake faces everywhere,
No one shows what’s truly there.
Natural beauty, lost, unseen,
Everything now is just a sheen.
The face, the body, all disguised,
Truth replaced by perfect lies.
This plastic world will stay, it’s true,
It’ll be here much longer than you.
Make a dream come true today,
See your grace in your own way.
Gifted by dear Lord above,
You need not change for others’ love.
The world is changing every second,
Update your life as it is reckoned.
Not your body, not your face,
But your soul—it holds true grace.
Let’s look at the mirror,
As you are—perfect and pure.
