Rediscovering True Love: A Poem on What Love Really Means in Today's World
The True Meaning of Love: A Reflection Through My Poem:-
This is the first time I’ve written a poem on love—a universal and timeless topic that has inspired countless stories, songs, and dreams. But as I reflected on this theme, I couldn’t help but notice how much the meaning of love has changed in today’s world.
In our modern times, we all talk about love, but do we truly feel it in our hearts? Sadly, the word seems to have lost its essence. Love has become something we see in texts or hear on lips, but rarely do we find it in genuine actions. For many, love feels like a transaction—something to fulfil personal needs, often revolving around materialistic desires like costly gifts and money. Relationships have become superficial, and having boyfriends or girlfriends seems more like a trend than a true connection.
True Love? ❤️
It feels so new, so wonderful,
When I wait to see you,
Just once, to feel good forever—
Is this love? I have no clue.
You stay in my dreams, my mind,
But is there meaning I can find?
Is love just Romeo and Juliet,
Heer and Ranjha we won’t forget?
Today, the word feels light and weak,
True love is hard for hearts to seek.
But from my side, I truly know,
Love was shown by Manjhi's glow.
An old man carved a path through stone,
Each strike a labour, love had grown.
He had not built a mountain tall,
But a heavenly path for one and all.
For those who face their darkest strife,
He left a lesson through his life.
So, this is love, not words in a dream—
But a memory, real, and supreme.

In this environment, where fake love often leads to heartbreak and suffering, I found inspiration in a story that stands as a testament to what love truly means—an act of selflessness and devotion that transcends time.
My poem reflects this idea, contrasting fleeting romances with the powerful legacy of Dashrath Manjhi, the man who carved a path through a mountain in memory of his late wife. His love wasn’t just a feeling; it was an unshakable commitment that lives on as a beacon of hope for those facing struggles.
Through this poem, I’ve tried to capture what love should be—not just words or fleeting emotions, but a deep, enduring force that inspires and uplifts. I hope my words resonate with you and remind you of the beauty of genuine love in a world that often forgets its true meaning.
Thank you for visiting my post. I hope you enjoy my poem and find inspiration in its message!
