The Hidden Story of Roses: A Poetic Reflection on Beauty and Life

Dear Rose!

Oh !Rose, don’t bloom early

Because humans don’t want you to live.

If you bloom early,

You’ll be murdered by them.

No doubt that you are beautiful,

But they’ll give you to their loved ones.

You are the symbol of love,

But you’re used after your death.

They’ll be waiting for you to bloom,

For committing your murder,

To make their loved ones happy.

Oh, Rose! Don’t bloom early,

They’ll be waiting for you,

Ready to kill you.

One day, while sitting on a chair doing some writing work, my eyes fell on the beautiful flowers in my house. I started thinking about their fragile beauty and how they’re often plucked for our enjoyment. These thoughts swirled in my mind, and before I knew it, I had written my first English poem! It was such a wonderful feeling that stayed with me all day. I remember writing a Hindi poem for the first time back when I was in school, but that memory had faded. This poem brought back the joy of expressing my thoughts in words.

I hope you will like my post and find it relatable. I believe people should consider offering a plant of roses or any other flowers to bring joy to their loved ones multiple times, allowing the flowers to live and blossom a little longer. It may sound funny, but it's true—this is how I see it. Let’s give flowers a chance to enjoy their short yet beautiful life too.
